Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre is delighted to welcome the World Illustration Awards Exhibition for the third year in a row.

Organised by the Association of Illustrators UK and The Directory of Illustration, USA, this outstanding international exhibition opened at the prestigious Somerset House in London before touring to only three UK locations, including Limavady.

With over 2300 entries from 64 countries, it showcases 50 shortlisted projects across eight categories, from advertising and design to books and editorial. Original works on display will include murals, posters, packaging and children’s books by artists from the UK, USA, Italy, The Netherlands, South Korea, Hong Kong and Israel.

Notable shortlisted works include Claudine O’Sullivan’s complex digital illustrations for the Apple Pencil Campaign, a characterful portrait of Bill Murray for the Washington Post by artist Tony Rodriguez and Lizzy Stewart’s playful illustrations for children’s book ‘There’s a Tiger in the Garden.”

The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Councillor Joan Baird OBE, said: “It is a tremendous honour for Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre to host this fantastic exhibition which gives the public, and especially practising artists and students, an opportunity to see such internationally acclaimed work in their local area. As usual, we love to connect children with our exhibitions and our galleries will have family activity trails and a creative corner where they can have fun in response to the artworks on show.”

Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre is open to the public every Monday to Saturday, 9.30am- 5pm.

The World Illustration Awards Exhibition runs until Saturday 7th April and admission is free.
