Thousands bid final fair well to William Dunlop

Thousands of mourners said their final fair well to road racer William Dunlop as his coffin made it’s was along the Garryduff Road outside Ballymoney to the nearby Presbyterian Christ for his funeral service.

After the service he was laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery beside his late father, also a road racer, Robert Dunlop.

William, 32, died following a crash on a practice race at the Skerries 100 Road Races on Saturday.

Mourners from all over packed the small country road.

Since the news broke fans have also been paying tribute to William at his fathers memorial garden in the town, many laying flowers and standing for a few minutes of reflection. Many have also already ask the question or made suggestions as to what permanent memorial should be place there to William Dunlop.
