Gorse fire on Drumack Road Rasharkin

Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service appliance is currently attending a gorse fire on the Drumack Road in Rasharkin.

Locally known as the Moss, the fire can be seen for miles across the countryside.

A NIFRS spokesperson have told FUSE FM Ballymoney;

“The NIFRS are dealing with a current incident at Drumack Road relating to a gorse fire. Currently a single appliance is in attendance from Kilrea and a wildfire officer is on route to the incident.”

This is the second gorse fire in this area, the last one burning for 24 hours. No further details available at this time
